India Women Tour To South Africa Schedule: The Indian Women’s Cricket Team’s schedule for a tour to South Africa has been announced. This tour will see two top teams of world cricket face off just weeks before the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup.
The slate for the Harmanpreet Kaur-led team is filled to the brim in the first half of 2026. The women are currently playing in WPL 2026, a competition that will last throughout January.
Then, starting in mid-February, India will travel to Australia for three T20Is, three ODIs, and a Test match. A tour to England will also happen, where the Women in Blue will play three T20Is, immediately after which the T20 World Cup will commence in England and Wales.
India Women Tour To South Africa Schedule
Now, amidst this busy schedule, yet another tour has been announced. In the month of April, the Indian Women’s Cricket Team will travel to South Africa to play five T20Is.
The first game of this series will be played on April 17 at the iconic Kingsmead Cricket Ground in Durban, as will be the second one. The third and fourth games will be played at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, while the fifth and final game of this series will be played at the Willowmoore Park in Benoni.
These will be the first India vs South Africa matches since the final of the 2025 ODI World Cup, which India won at home.
As stated, this tour to South Africa will prove to be valuable practice for Team India, as well as the Proteas, for the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup.
The two nations are drawn in the same group for the World Cup. Group A consists of India, South Africa, Australia and Pakistan. On the other hand, Group B is made up of England, Sri Lanka, the West Indies, and defending champions New Zealand.
Both India and South Africa will look to do better in the coming World Cup than their 2024 performance. The Proteas reached the final of the competition but stumbled at the last step. Meanwhile, India, the defending ODI World Cup champions, failed to make it out of the group stage of the last T20 World Cup.
